Borrowing Policies and Renewals
Find information on our Borrowing Policies, including what you can check out from the Library, and for how long. Interested in do-it-yourself renewals? Log in to the My Account feature of our classic catalog.
The Library has a variety of resources that you can check out or access online. Choose from the list below to learn more:
- Books, including children's books
- Museum passes
- Technology to Borrow (Reserve laptops, projectors, video cameras, voice recorders, etc.)
- Topic Guides (Anti-racism resources, statistical resources, etc. )
- Videos and DVDs
Library Conference Rooms and Computer Classroom
The Library has two conference rooms (on Floors 2M and 3M) equipped with a white board, a TV, and a technology cabinet containing a Mac Mini with DVD drive, Apple TV, and VGA and HDMI connectors for laptops and various devices. Whiteboard markers are available for checkout at the Service Desk. The rooms may be reserved for up to two hours by contacting the Service Desk in person, at 617-879-2222, or through our Library's Room Reservation Form. The computer classroom on the Lower Level can only be reserved using the Campus Services Room Reservation form.
Earl Center for Learning and Innovation
The Earl Center offers the space, materials, and assistance to support the academic and professional experience of the Wheelock community. At the Earl Center, you will have access to an eclectic collection of resources, from poster board to lamination to 3D printing and to staff who can teach you how to do something new. The Earl Center also holds and promotes many events surrounding such topics as education, technology, making and lifelong learning.
Located on the Lower Level of the Library, the Archives contains materials documenting the history of Wheelock College.
Borrowing from Other Libraries
As a Wheelock staff member, you are eligible to borrow materials from several other schools in the Boston area. Check out our Visiting Other Libraries page for details.

You may suggest a title to be added to the Library's collection. Purchase decisions are based on Library Collection Development policies; it may not be possible to approve all requests.
