The Earl Center's mission is strengthened by partnerships with EdShelf, NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Recycling for R.I. Education
EdShelf: EdShelf is a directory of websites, mobile apps, and desktop programs that are rated and reviewed by parents and educators, for parents and educators. The Earl Center has partnered with EdShelf as a collaborator in curating and producing educational tools.
NASA Space Place: NASA Space Place is an educational website filled with games, activities, and fun facts about space and earth science for elementary-age students, their parents, and their teachers. The Earl Center is a NASA Space Place partner and provides educational materials received from NASA.
NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador Initiative: This initiative aims to strengthen national resilience and readiness against extreme weather by working with partners to share preparedness messaging in outreach to the public. As a NOAA Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador, the Earl Center educates the Wheelock community about extreme weather, water, and climate events. It also shares educational materials provided by the NOAA.
Recycling for R.I. Education (RRIE): RRIE encourages the preservation of the environment by diverting clean non-toxic reusable excess inventory from the business community to educators and community organizations. The Earl Center has an RRIE membership and offers passes to the RRIE recycling facility. They can be checked out for one-week.
