Reunion Giving

Reunion is often a time when alumni choose to support the Annual Fund with a gift, since many are thinking about their alma mater and may even come back to campus to take advantage of reunion festivities. Yet, Reunion giving is about more than making a donation, it is a wonderful way to come together as a class in support of current and future Wheelock students. By making a gift in honor of your Reunion, you will celebrate the bond that all Wheelock classes share, not only as members of the same academic community, but of people dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.

Making even a small Reunion gift is a way to stay connected to the College, while contributing to financial aid and scholarships for the more than 95% of students who need additional support to stay at Wheelock. We all know that Wheelock is special for many reasons and reunion is an important milestone and a celebration of your education, friendships, and experience. We hope that you will honor these memories with a gift.

Reunion classes are also honored for their giving and involvement at the annual Reunion Weekend luncheon. The class with the highest percentage of members attending the luncheon will receive the Gertrude Abbihl Prize, named in honor of a former faculty member who attended 45 consecutive reunion luncheons! The Beulah Angell Wetherbee Prize is presented to the reunion class with the highest percentage of donors, to honor the spirit of Beulah Angell Wetherbee, an agent from the Class of 1933 who encouraged her classmates to participation rates as high as 98.9 percent! Lastly, the class that raises the most money during their reunion year will receive the Dr. Frances Graves Prize, created to honor the memory of an alumna who strongly supported the Annual Fund.
