As Wheelock College prepares to merge with Boston University to create the new Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at B.U., many members of the Wheelock College Heritage Society of reached out with questions regarding their estate plans.
You do not need to make any changes to your will, trusts, life insurance designation or any other paperwork. The merger agreement assures that any gift intention pledged to Wheelock College will be designated for the new Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University.
While you do not need to incur any expenses to change legal documents, we do hope that you will complete the Planned Giving Information form. In the past you may have signed a similar form for Wheelock. Submitting an updated document ensures that B.U. is aware of your intentions so that they can provide the appropriate recognition and stewardship.
Boston University recognizes those who have chosen to leave a legacy through their estates with Membership in the Claflin Society. If you have any questions for Boston University, they can contacted here.
