Graduate Certificate in Special Education

This 12-credit certificate program develops expertise for beginning or experienced practitioners in teaching children with exceptional learning needs in diverse settings. For teachers who already hold a master's degree and an initial teaching license, this group of courses is designed to be used to move an initial license in Early Childhood Teacher of Students with or without Disabilities (PreK-2), Elementary Education (1-6), or ESL (5-12 and PreK-6) to professional status (when all other state requirements are met).
