Meet the Policy Fellows

Breeana BlalockBreeana Blalock
Intern for Senator Linda Dorcena Forry

Breeana Blalock is a graduate policy fellow obtaining her Master of Social Work degree at Wheelock College. Breeana supervises eight other policy fellows for her practicum and coordinates events through Wheelock's Department of Leadership and Policy. She hopes to learn more about Massachusetts' legislative process to be a part of eradicating systemic oppression for all beings and is grateful for the life-changing opportunity.



Brittani MurrayBrittani Murray
Intern for Rep. Theodore Speliotis, Chairman of the Committee on Bills in Third Reading

Brittani Murray is a sophomore at Wheelock, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Writing. Brittani is interested in learning more about policy work and the way Legislature moves throughout the system. She intends to continue her education in law school with a focus on Entertainment Law.


Simone Ngongi-LukulaSimone Ngongi-Lukula
Intern for Rep. James O'Day

Simone Ngongi-Lukula is a junior at Wheelock, majoring in Political Science and Global Studies. She passionate about advocating for the rights of immigrants both in the United States and globally. Simone is interested in policy work, specifically and how the affect young people, and immigrants at a local, national and international levels.


Abbey RaymondAbbey Raymond
Intern for Sen. Joan B. Lovely

Abbey Raymond is a junior at Wheelock College, majoring in both Political Science and Social Work, with a minor in psychology. She has a strong interest in policies surrounding women, children, and families. With this, she has worked with youth and teens in many school based settings in the Greater Boston Area. Abbey is excited to learn about policy change and how she can use this knowledge to pursue law after her undergraduate degree.

Intern for Rep. Marjorie Decker

Abby Swanson is a junior at Wheelock College, double majoring in Political Science and Global Studies and Social Work. She has a strong interest in public policy and advocating for human rights. She truly values her time at the State House, learning about the policy-making process, especially at this pivotal moment in our country's history.


Alicea VazquezAlicea Vazquez
Intern for Rep. Jay Kaufman

Alicea Vazquez is a junior at Wheelock College, double majoring in Social Work and Psychology, with a focus in children, families, and culture. She is very proud of her Puerto Rican roots and plans on using her experience with this internship in the hopes of returning to Puerto Rico and advocating for under-funded public schools.
