The Peace Corps Prep program prepares students for international development fieldwork and potential Peace Corps Service through the advancement of four core competencies:
- Training and experience (in one of six work sectors: agriculture, community economic development, education, environment, health, or youth and development)
- Foreign language skills
- Intercultural competence
- Professional and leadership development
These competencies are built through interrelated coursework, hands-on experience and professional development support.
