Program Requirements

The Peace Corps Prep program prepares students for international development fieldwork and potential Peace Corps Service through the advancement of four core competencies:

  • Training and experience (in one of six work sectors: agriculture, community economic development, education, environment, health, or youth and development)
  • Foreign language skills
  • Intercultural competence
  • Professional and leadership development

These competencies are built through interrelated coursework, hands-on experience and professional development support.
