Susan Redditt, EdD. has been teaching diverse groups of students since 1979. Her work as a special educator in an urban school system inspired her passion for learning and teaching about multicultural, multilingual, and multiracial populations. She has worked as a teacher educator for the University of Alaska, Westfield State University, and New England College in New Hampshire where she was promoted to Associate Professor. Susan has consulted extensively in the areas of co-teaching for inclusive special education settings, paraprofessional education, differentiated instruction and culturally responsive teaching and learning. Her writing focuses on collaborative action to improve schools.
Susan led six service learning trips with Outreach 360 (NGO located in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua)for students in teacher education since 2009. Her current projects include collaborative development with Stephanie Cox Suarez of a service learning experience for Wheelock students, staff and alums to Nicaragua in May, 2017. She is also working with the Massachusetts Migrant Education Program in Northampton, MA as a tutor for migrant students and as a volunteer consultant on the education of English language learners and their families.
