Presidential International Visiting Scholars

This 2011 spring semester Wheelock College will host three Presidential International Visiting Scholars:

Dr. Naana Opoku-Agyeman, Vice Chancellor for University of Cape Coast, Ghana - Dr. Agymena, hosted by Dr. Joyce Hope Scott, will offer a lecture on women and girls' education in Africa.

Dr. Miren Uriarte, Senior Research Associate at the Mauricio Gaston Institute at UMass Boston - Dr. Uriarte, hosted by Marta Rosa, will hold a conversation with the community on "Cultural Competence and Bilingualism".

Dr. Silke Grafe (pictured right) from the University of Paderborn in Germany - Dr. Grafe, hosted by Dr. Petra Hesse, will engage the community in a dialogue on Children's Media and Media Literacy in an International Context.

Wheelock hopes you will join us as these scholars come to our community to share their expertise about these international topics of great importance to us.
