Bridges to Hope and Understanding: Ubuntu in the Works

On May 2, Wheelock will host the interdisciplinary youth symposium “Bridges to Hope and Understanding: Ubuntu in the Works.” This colloquium will be the capstone event to Wheelock’s Ubuntu in the Works outreach initiatives. This event will showcase the social action and artistic projects that Boston youths have developed through their collaboration with Wheelock, including Youth Transforming Violence and Bridges to Hope, Understanding and Changing the Social and Academic Outcomes of the Youth of Boston. Students will read, analyze, evaluate and interpret the knowledge they gain from art and literature about youth activism and community change and apply it. Students will present their final projects at our Ubuntu in the Works student showcase.
