Omar Ruiz

Omar RuizOmar is a Puerto Rican born, Boston raised, bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). Omar makes every effort to bring in a collaborative, non-blaming approach to therapy. Being trained from a Systemic perspective, while his worldview is guided by Narrative Therapy, Omar works to center people as the expert of their lives. 

He has recently joined Wheelock after working for The Home for Little Wanderers (HFLW). At HFLW, he interned for a year and transitioned into a staff Clinician, providing intensive home-based family therapy services, within their Safe at Home program in Somerville. Outside of Wheelock, Omar provides individual, couple, and family therapy within his own private practice. In addition, Omar is a contracted consultant providing mental health support to three specified Boston Public Schools which are identified as dual language programs.
