Meet Current Wheelock Students

"My favorite thing about Wheelock is the location! Being in Boston there is so much to do including shopping on Newbury Street, doing homework on the Boston Common and seeing shows in the Theatre District. And who can forget Fenway Park is right down the street – go Red Sox!”

Jess Endres

Field Experience: I just completed my 300 hour practicum in a 3rd grade classroom at the John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Jamaica Plain!  Before that I did my 100 hour practicum in a fifth grade classroom at the O.W. Holmes Elementary School in Dorchester. In the past, I have also done placements at Kid's Palace Day Care in Roxbury, MA and a Homeless Shelter/Soup Kitchen in Cambridge, MA.

Clubs/Organizations: Student Advisor, Math Leader, Vice President of the Admissions Ambassadors and President of the Student Government Association.

Why did you choose Wheelock?  I came to Wheelock because I really want to work with children and families.  I like that everyone at Wheelock, no matter what their major or background is, shares my goal of improving the world!

What do you do on weekends? There are plenty of things to do both on, and off campus so I can honestly say that I am never bored! Some of my favorite things are Oktoberfest Weekend and the COF (Colleges of the Fenway) Spring Week.

What do you want to do when you graduate? Everyday I work with children confirms my lifelong dream to be a teacher.
