Wheelock College is now a member of President Obama's 2013 Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction. The College was recognized with the award for its commitment to community service and civic engagement. Wheelock is among 100 national colleges, including five Massachusetts colleges, named with the 2013 Honor Roll with Distinction award.
This is the third year Wheelock has been placed on the Honor Roll and the second time it has been recognized on the Honor Roll with Distinction.
Wheelock College has over 280 community partnerships with Boston-area schools, social service agencies, and hospitals that bring over 60 percent of Wheelock students into the field for more than 100,000 hours of service each year. Service is an integral part of the Wheelock experience in line with the school's mission to improve the lives of children and families.
