Scholarship Opportunity for Nonprofit Leaders
October 31, 2013
As part of its commitment to strengthening leadership in the nonprofit sector, Wheelock College is offering a 25% tuition scholarship to current employees of nonprofit organizations who enroll in an accelerated master's in Organizational Leadership program that begins classes in January 2014.
"We recognize the shortage of resources for professional training and the time commitment to earn a higher degree," said Irwin Nesoff, Chair of Organizational Leadership and Policy at Wheelock. "To address this, the College is making a master's degree in Organizational Leadership a little more affordable and achievable."
The scholarship will be applied to the full cost of Wheelock's MS in Organizational Leadership, which helps develop and prepare qualified leaders for the nonprofit sector. In addition, students who enroll in the accelerated program beginning in January will be able to complete the full master's degree in one-and-a-half years, instead of the usual two years.
