Open Studios are opportunities to explore questions of teaching and learning through the tool of documentation. We bring together a wide range of educators who seek to learn from each other's perspectives.

We are excited to host Terris King and Linda Butler (K1 teachers from the Park School in Baltimore) at our upcoming Open Studio.

In the first hour, we will discuss the question of how and when teachers might use "unvarnished" documentation - documentation that makes visible the challenges and struggles of children and adults as a means to engage in collaborative problem-solving.

In the second hour, Terris and Linda will share their process of creating weekling vlogs (3-5 minute video logs) for parents - including both the decision process behind what they make visible as well as their technical strategies.

Professional Development Points and Continuing Education Credits available. Refreshments provided.
