Citation and Writing
Why we cite
Give credit where credit is due. Scholars and writers have worked hard to produce the information you will use in your paper. Studies can take months, or sometimes years, to complete. Citing helps:
- Give your paper credibility
- Allow others to examine your thinking
- Provide a tool to help you find additional resources
