
Studying in the Library
From quiet to collaborative, you will find a place in the Library to fit your studying needs.

Quiet Zones
Floors 3M (except the Conference/Group Study Room), 4, and 4M
- Use these areas for reading and individual study.
- Keep any necessary conversations brief and low.
- Take cell phone conversations elsewhere.
- Use headphones when playing music or videos.
- Please notify a staff member if the noise levels in the Quiet Zones do not meet your studying needs.
Collaborative Zones
Floors 1 through 3 and the basement computer labs on the Lower Level
- Use these areas for meetings, group work, or if you prefer a busier studying environment.
- Talking is OK, but please be respectful and keep conversations at a reasonable level.
- Cell phone use is OK, as long as you’re not disturbing anyone else.
- Use headphones when playing music or videos.
- Please notify a staff member if the noise levels in the Collaborative Zones do not meet your studying needs.
Conference/Group Study Rooms
Located on Floors 2M and 3M
- Are equipped with a computer, a white board, and a TV with DVD player and VCR.
- Are free to use if empty and not reserved.
- May be reserved using the Room Reservation form, or by contacting the Service Desk at 617-879-2220 or circulation@wheelock.edu.
Computer Labs
- The large lab (Quiet Zone) has 16 computers, a white board, projector and a classroom-style seating arrangement.
- The small lab (Collaborative Zone) has 8 computers.
