Diane Levin Opposes Proposed K-12 Education Standards
April 28, 2010
In an April 18, 2010 editorial in the Boston Globe, Diane Levin and Nancy Carlsson-Paige oppose the proposed new national standards for K-12 education.
The pair argue that the new standards "contradict decades of early education theory and research about how young children learn best and how to close the achievement gap."
Levin is a professor of early childhood education at Wheelock and co-author of the critically acclaimed book, So Sexy, So Soon: The New Sexualized Childhood.
