Emerging Leader Scholarship Award

Student Emerging Leaders with Bob Maginn

This November, Wheelock College is hosting a celebratory Boston event, the Passion for Action Leadership Award Dinner, to honor those who have made significant contributions to the social fabric of our community. As part of the celebration, Wheelock College will recognize emerging youth leadership in the Greater Boston area by honoring five high school students who have been leaders in creating change in their communities.  These students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship award to use at the college or higher education program of their choice.

For more than 120 years, Wheelock College has educated and inspired teachers and social service advocates to fulfill our institutional mission: to improve the lives of children and families. Our alumni often speak of "a calling" to serve children, families, and communities and to be educational and social change agents. They are known for their creative and entrepreneurial work and for modeling leadership to all those who are concerned with improving the lives of children and families - the foundation and future of our society.  It is their spirit and the mission they serve that we recognize through our Emerging Leader Scholarship Award.
