Announcements & Tickets
Each student participating in the ceremony
will receive four(4) guest tickets and announcements. All guests
must have a ticket for the ceremony. Announcements and tickets
will be available in the Office of Student Life until Wednesday,
May 14.
If you are unable to pick up materials during regular business hours, a classmate may do so for you with your Wheelock ID or a written note mailed to the Office of Student Life prior to pickup. Under no circumstances will someone be allowed to pick up tickets and announcements without permission from the graduate.
Commencement Ceremony Arrival Time
Graduating students should plan to arrive promptly at 10 a.m. to check-in for
line up in the lower hall of Temple Israel. Procession line-up will begin sharply
at 10:15 a.m.
Regalia Information
University Cap and Gown is Wheelock’s official regalia provider.
All graduates must wear the appropriate commencement attire. You
may choose from the following options when ordering your regalia.

- Come to the Student Center at the following times to meet with a University Cap & Gown representative to place your order in person on the following dates:
- April 8, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- April 10, 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Traditionally, dress shirts, slacks, skirts or dresses are worn under the robe with dress shoes. Graduates should wear sensible shoes for climbing and descending stage stairs.
Student Speaker
Both divisions of the College are represented
at the May commencement by a student speaker. One person from
each division—Undergraduate and Graduate—will be selected to
represent his or her constituency. If you would like to represent
your division at the ceremony, please submit five (5) copies
of your speech to the Office of Student Life by Friday, April 11,
2008.
Speeches should be no longer than five minutes when delivered or two double-spaced pages in length. The selection committee will read all essays anonymously and select the student speakers to represent each division. Decisions will be announced on Friday, April 25, 2008. The selected speakers are expected to meet with members of the faculty to revise and edit their speeches and to prepare their presentation for the ceremony.

Senior Week
Dates: May 11 to May 15
Senior Week is about spending your last week as a Wheelock undergraduate student with the friends that you have made over the past few years. You have all been busy earning your degrees, getting involved on campus, working in practicum sites throughout the city and forging new relationships with all those that surround you. This is your chance to come together and celebrate all of your accomplishments and experiences at Wheelock College!
The officers of the Class of 2008 have been working since the beginning of this academic year to plan this exciting week of activities. Details will be posted by April 1, so please check back here for more information.
