Candle Lighting Reception

Candle Lighting Ceremony

Our annual Candle Lighting Ceremony is a long-standing tradition at Wheelock College. The members of this year’s senior class lit their first candles on the night of Tuesday, September 7, 2004 on the Alumni Patio. It was the night before classes began and each student was feeling anxious to begin his/her academic career at Wheelock. Now, these same students will stand on the Alumni Patio the night before Commencement and light their candles again.

Graduates’ Breakfast

Time: 8:00 a.m.
Location: Home of President Jackie Jenkins-Scott

All graduates and their guests are invited to a breakfast at the home of President Jackie Jenkins-Scott on the morning of Commencement.

Please note—graduating students must arrive promptly at 10 a.m. in the lower hall of Temple Israel to check-in. Procession line-up will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m.

If seating is available, non-ticketed guests will be allowed into the seating area at 10:45 a.m.

Location: Wheelock Family Theatre Foyer

All graduates and guests are invited to attend a reception in the Wheelock Family Theatre Foyer immediately following the Commencement ceremony.
