Wheelock Honors Artist David Bakalar for Sculpture Donation

April 29, 2010

Wheelock honored renowned artist and Brookline resident David Bakalar at a dedication ceremony of three sculptures that he donated to the College. The outdoor sculptures are called The Dance, We! and Life Force IV.

Bakalar's work is known for addressing the ways in which visual images can embody scientific concepts. His sculptures are installed nationwide, including on the campuses of Columbia University, the Longy School of Music, Brandeis University, and Mount Ida College.
