The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) is a "by invitation only" event that brought together 1,000 leading education figures from more than 50 countries in Doha, Qatar.

The summit offered education leaders and decision-makers the opportunity to investigate emerging issues that affect the global education agenda and develop innovative ways to address them.

"The WISE summit presents an important opportunity for Wheelock to be at the forefront of the global education discussion," said President Jackie Jenkins-Scott.

The summit focused on "Working Together for Sustainable Achievements." Participants explored how pluralism, sustainability, and innovation can contribute to new education techniques, best practices, and experimental programs.

Speakers included Kiyotaka Akasaka, Under Secretary General for Communications and Public Information at the United Nations, Dr. Georges Haddad, Director of the Division of Higher Education at UNESCO, and Dr. Sheikha Abdulla Al-Misnad, president of the University of Qatar.
