Wheelock College student-athletes are collecting school supplies and monetary donations that will go to Cradles to Crayons that will then be packaged up and delivered to a number of different schools in the Boston/Greater Boston area.

DANCE MARATHON TO BENEFIT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL BOSTON

Description: 
The Dance Marathon is an 8 hour event where students pledge to stay on their feet to raise money and support for the 17 million children who benefit from Children's Miracle Network each year. All of the proceeds of donations from this event directly benefit the patients at our local Children's Miracle Network, Boston Children's Hospital. The results of these donations help improve the quality of life of the children and their families, along with providing education and research of current illnesses and future treatments. HEALTHY KIDS FESTIVAL

Description: Boston Children's Museum is having its annual health-wellness event, Healthy Kids Festival at Boston Children's Museum. Invitees include local health care organizations to facilitate a lot of fun activities, such as Teddy Bear Clinic, Finger Casting, and Mask Decoration!

BUILDING FAMILIES, BUILDING FUTURES

Description: Full day education conference on family support and engagement "Building Families, Building Futures" on Saturday April 11 at Mashpee High School. Volunteers needed to take attendance, collect evaluations, and issue certifications of attendance, all the while sitting in on presentations about family issues and challenges. Alumni can also participate in the conference free of cost!

SINGAPORE PROJECT

Description: Children and Families Story Walk. Students will be split into two groups. There will be story walks, self-guided tours and hands on activities at both the Asian Civilisation Museum and Peranakan Museum. At the former venue, tours will be conducted by the museum's docents and there will be a puppetry activity. At the latter venue, the tours will be carried out by Wheelock volunteers and activities involving artifacts.

BOSTON AREA RAPE CRISIS (BARCC) WALK

BARCC's 41st Anniversary Walk for Change - Nearly 2,000 people are expected to walk 2.6 miles along the Charles River in support of survivors of sexual assault and BARCC's mission to end sexual violence. Description: The goal of this year's Wheelock World Service Day in Sarasota is to connect Wheelock alumni with young children for the purpose of encouraging early literacy. Alumni will be asked to bring a children's book appropriate for infants and/or toddlers. Following the Week of the Young Child celebration on the playground, alumni will join one of the nurseries and read their books to individual children or small groups of children. Each book will be left in the nursery as a donation. Refreshments will follow.

Project Bread's Walk for Hunger brings thousands of people to our state's capital each year to raise money for anti-hunger programs and to promote awareness about the face of hunger in our communities.
