Wheelock Reunion 2012 - General Information

Coming to Reunion 2012? Here's a quick guide to help you plan all the details of your visit. If you have a question that isn't answered below, please feel free to email us at alumnirelations@wheelock.edu

Q: What kinds of things will we do during our Reunion?
A: The full schedule of events is posted here. Feel free to call the office at 617-879-2328 with any questions.

Q: Can I bring my children? Is Reunion kid-friendly?
A: Absolutely! Children are welcome at many of the events. Please let us know if you are planning to bring children by calling 617-879-2328. Unfortunately, child care is not available.

Q: When can I register?
A: Now! We hope you received your registration booklet for Reunion 2012 in the mail. If not, please call us at 617-879-2328.

Q: Why is there a deadline for registration?
A: It is very important that you register for Reunion by the deadline so we are able to accommodate you for housing and meals. We will publish the list of "Who's Coming to Reunion" on our website, so please check back.

Q: I'm interested in coming back for Reunion but not sure what events I should plan to attend. Any advice?
A: The Class Reunion Coordinators are hard at work to plan a memorable weekend. We know from experience that the majority of attendees are on campus for the Saturday afternoon class luncheon and the special Saturday evening class dinners. Many come Friday evening for the Wheelock Family Theatre Cabaret and class get-togethers on campus.

Q: What are the on-campus accommodations like?
A: On-campus accommodations are convenient for all Reunion activities and available for all alumni and their guests. On-campus lodging makes it easier for you to spend time with your classmates because each class is housed in a section of a residence hall. Guests will stay in the brand-new Campus Center and Student Residence and the recently renovated Riverway House.

Q: How are on-campus accommodations assigned?
A: If you register for on-campus housing, you will be housed with the rest of your class unless otherwise requested. Double rooms are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis during registration.

Q: How do you handle special rooming requests?
A: If you wish to be assigned to a room close to (a) particular classmate(s), you and the other member(s) of your party must make that request on your registration form. If you have other special requests, you will need to call 617-879-2328. We will take these requests on a first-come, first-served basis and will do our best to accommodate them.

Q: How do I access my room?
A: When you arrive at your class house, you will be given a key to your room. Upon checkout, please return your key at the registration desk in the CCSR building.

Q: Can I stay at a hotel?
A: Find out more about local hotels here

Q: What should I expect from a dorm room?
A: Accommodations are modest as they are college dormitories. However, most alumni report that it's all about the experience and embrace being back to college again!

Q: What is in the dorm room?
A: Each room comes with one set of sheets, one pillow, a light blanket, a light towel, a washcloth, and a small bar of soap. We recommend that you bring coat hangers, a fan, a mirror, an extra blanket, and an alarm clock as the rooms do not come equipped with these.

Q: What should I pack?
A: Summer weather in Boston can be unpredictable. Pack casual clothes, a sweater or sweatshirt (the campus store is open during the weekend if you're in the market for new Wheelock College gear!), comfortable shoes, an outfit for your festive class dinner, and rain gear.
