The Lucy Wheelock Award
This award honors a younger alumna/us celebrating a 5th to 20th year Reunion. Criteria for this award are based on this person’s service to the College and service to the Alumni Association. This year’s recipient is Micaela Hall ’97. Micaela served on the Alumni Association Board and attended many events at the College. As Chair of Young Alumni Committee, Micaela worked to engage and connect our younger alumni population through events such as attending Shear Madness and the Hard Rock Café, a Young Alumni Reception at the Bell in Hand (2004-2006), Seniors Countdown to Graduation (2003-2006), a Young Alumni Networking Cruise on the Spirit of Boston and Speed Networking Receptions. Micaela’s work on the Board during her time as Chair of the Students and Recent Graduates Committee was invaluable. She reenergized the committee with new members, came up with new and exciting events for our Young Alumni constituents and worked to steward relationships with her peers and fellow alumni with the College. We congratulate Micaela and heartily thank her for her dedication and service to Wheelock.

Prizes
The Gertrude Abbihl Prize
The silver bowl has been named the Gertrude Abbihl Prize in honor of our former faculty member Gertrude Abbihl, who attended more consecutive reunion luncheons than any other person — 45 altogether! The Gertrude Abbihl Prize is presented to the class with the highest percentage of members attending the annual luncheon. This year competition was keen! The runner up is the class of 1952 with 25% attendance. The winner is the Class of 1957 with 40% attendance.
The Beulah Angell Wetherbee Prize
Tina Crosby ’67 presented the Beulah Angell Wetherbee Prize, an engraved silver tray, given to the reunion class with the highest percentage of donors, to honor the spirit of Beulah Angell Wetherbee, a Class of 1933 class agent who encouraged her classmates to participation rates as high as 98.9 percent! Reunion gifts are greatly appreciated by the College and have a special impact on the College’s ability to provide scholarship aid to students and support ongoing programs. This year, the friendly competition between classes was quite vigorous! This year, the runner up is the Class of 1952 with 63% participation and the winner of the Wetherbee Prize is the Class of 1957 – celebrating their 50th reunion. Their participation was 77% of the class donating to the Annual Fund this year! Congratulations!
The Dr. Frances Graves Prize
Dr. Frances Graves, Class of 1909, believed so strongly in the annual fund that she made arrangements in her will for the annual fund to receive a gift each year in her name.
