Wheelock College welcomes applications from transfer students for either the spring or fall semesters. We value the experience and maturity that transfer students bring with them. Our goal is to offer a hassle-free transfer process, consideration of as much transfer credit as possible, and an easy transition into the Wheelock College Community.

We encourage all students to visit Wheelock and meet with an admissions representative. We welcome the chance to work with you and help you explore the opportunities at Wheelock. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Transfer Credits

As a transfer student, you will receive credit for college level courses taken at accredited institutions if you received grades of "C" or better. While an informal credit evaluation may be done at the appointment stage, you will receive a formal, written credit evaluation from our office 2-3 weeks after you have been accepted to Wheelock.

It is important that you send us course descriptions from each college attended. This will ensure an accurate and quick evaluation. Our transfer coordinator will work closely with you even after you enroll at Wheelock to be sure you receive the most credits possible in your transition. All transfer students must complete a minimum of 67 credits at Wheelock in order to earn a degree.

Financial Aid

Wheelock College offers merit scholarships to incoming transfer students. All students, including international applicants, are automatically considered for these awards if submitted by the priority application deadline (there is no separate application for merit scholarships).

Awards range from $7,000 to $14,500 and are based on the overall application for admission. Factors considered include your prior academic performance, writing ability, activities/community engagement, work/volunteer experience, and letters of recommendation. Standardized test scores are not considered in our merit scholarship decisions.

Please note that eligibility for scholarships is based on the application materials we have on file at the time the admissions decision is made. Scholarships are renewable while you pursue your Bachelor's degree at Wheelock, provided you maintain the required minimum GPA and continuous full-time enrollment. Scholarship recipients are notified when they receive their acceptance letter.
