We encourage all students to visit Wheelock and meet with an admissions representative. We welcome the chance to work with you and help you explore the opportunities at Wheelock. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Transfer Credits

As a transfer student, you will receive credit for college level courses taken at accredited institutions if you received grades of "C" or better. While an informal credit evaluation may be done at the appointment stage, you will receive a formal, written credit evaluation from our office 2-3 weeks after you have been accepted to Wheelock.

It is important that you send us course descriptions from each college attended. This will ensure an accurate and quick evaluation. Our transfer coordinator will work closely with you even after you enroll at Wheelock to be sure you receive the most credits possible in your transition. All transfer students must complete a minimum of 67 credits at Wheelock in order to earn a degree.

Getting a Transfer Credit Evaluation

Generally, transfer credit evaluations are done after you are accepted to Wheelock. You will receive your transfer credit evaluation approximately two to three weeks after you receive your acceptance packet. If you have specific questions before you receive an acceptance packet, contact our transfer coordinator.

Articulation Agreements

Articulation agreements are formal, written agreements between two or more educational entities, usually a community college and a four-year traditional program. These agreements define which courses the receiving school is required to accept from the community college.

Wheelock has active and up-to-date articulation agreements with the following:

  • Bunker Hill Community College, MA
  • Central Maine Community College, ME
  • Housatonic Community College, CT
  • Massachusetts Bay Community College, MA
  • Northeastern University (Foundation Year Program), MA
  • Quincy College, MA
  • Roxbury Community College, MA
  • Southern Maine Community College, ME
  • Urban College of Boston, MA
