Studying at Wheelock in Boston: A Complete Learning Experience
Associate Director of Admissions
For 125 years, Wheelock College has been educating people to make a positive impact around the world. We are a four-year university offering a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in Boston, Massachusetts, a world-class city on the northeastern coast of the U.S.
Wheelock faculty and staff have years of experience in international education and are ready to help students thrive in various cultures, embrace new ways of learning, and gain real-world experience through professional internships. In addition to our main campus in Boston, Wheelock has a campus in Singapore and has been educating students in the Caribbean for almost two decades.
Our international students and alumni come from many different countries, including: China, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Africa, Bermuda, Canada, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, and Germany.
Intimate campus in the heart of Boston
Wheelock's size (nearly 1000 undergraduate and over 400 graduate students) fosters strong personal relationships between students, faculty, and staff. This is especially important for international students looking for support and resources as they learn their way around the culture, the classrooms, and the city. Our campus, located in a beautiful part of Boston, provides a safe, supportive, and comfortable setting, and is close to all that Boston has to offer.
Wheelock is located in the heart of Boston's world-renowned medical area, so that students have easy access to some of the best healthcare in the world. Boston also boasts a wide array of places of worship that are easily accessible to our students.
Wheelock is one of six neighboring universities that, together, form the Colleges of the Fenway. We share academic programs and social activities, so you can be part of a 11,000 person community that includes over 500 international students.
Scholarship support for international students
Wheelock supports students from throughout the globe through merit scholarship awards. First-year international students are eligible to receive merit scholarships of $7,000-14,000/year, while international transfer students may receive merit scholarships of $5,000-10,000/year.
Partnerships that enhance the international student experience
Wheelock's Center for International Programs and Partnerships hosts numerous programs each year, including the Presidential International Visiting Scholars series, International Education Week, forums, lectures, and other international education events.
Through ONCAMPUS Boston, a partnership between Wheelock and Cambridge Education Group of London, international students from across the globe come to our campus to focus on academic, English language, and cultural transition courses to prepare them for further study at Wheelock and other American universities. The ONCAMPUS Boston program supports the College's goal to grow its international student body and expand conversations around world issues, while meeting the same high academic standards we require of international students who apply to the College directly.
All of these opportunities enable international students to make the most of their educational, cultural, and social experience in the U.S. We look forward to exploring whether Wheelock may be right for you. Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
