Financial Aid

To apply for need-based financial aid, first-year students should complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) by the priority filing date of February 15, 2016 or as soon as possible after that date (transfer students have until June 1, 2016). Financial Aid packages will be mailed out starting in mid March.

For more information, contact the Office of Financial Aid at 617-879-2443 or finaid@wheelock.edu.

Deferring Your Admission

Students who have applied and been accepted can request to defer their admission to Wheelock College for up to one academic year. Deferring requires a commitment to enroll and is not for students who are still deciding on where to attend. To request a deferral, please email Allison Sherlock at asherlock@wheelock.edu. Please note that if approved, you will need to pay your enrollment deposit (see above) before your deferral is finalized.

If approved, you will receive a confirmation email. If you are interested in taking coursework at another college or university while on deferral, you must get pre-approval from a Wheelock academic advisor. US Citizens and Permanent Residents deferring to the fall semester will have to submit a new FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); students deferring to the spring semester of the same academic year will not need to reapply for financial aid.
