Am I a Dependent or an Independent?

Your dependency status is determined when you fill out the FAFSA form.  The majority of Undergraduate students are usually classified as Dependents unless specific conditions are met to render them Independent.

Conversely, ALL Graduate students are automatically categorized as Independent.
