Transfer Admissions
Wheelock College welcomes applications from transfer students for either the spring or fall semesters. We value the experience and maturity that transfer students bring with them. Our goal is to offer a hassle-free transfer process, consideration of as much transfer credit as possible, and an easy transition into the Wheelock College Community.
We encourage all students to visit Wheelock and meet with an admissions representative. We welcome the chance to work with you and help you explore the opportunities at Wheelock. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Transfer credits
As a transfer student, you will receive credit for college level courses taken at accredited institutions if you received grades of "C" or better. While an informal credit evaluation may be done at the interview stage, you will receive a formal, written credit evaluation from our office 2-3 weeks after you have been accepted to Wheelock.
It is important that you send us course descriptions from each college attended. This will ensure an accurate and quick evaluation. Our transfer coordinator will work closely with you even after you enroll at Wheelock to be sure you receive the most credits possible in your transition. All transfer students must complete a minimum of 67 credits at Wheelock in order to earn a degree.
Getting a transfer credit evaluation
Generally, transfer credit evaluations are done after you are accepted to Wheelock. You will receive your transfer credit evaluation approximately 2 to 3 weeks after you receive your acceptance packet. If you have specific questions before you receive an acceptance packet, contact our transfer coordinator.
BS/MS program at Wheelock
If you have a minimum of 80 transferable credits, you may be eligible for the BS/MS program in Education or Child Life at Wheelock. This means you can pursue your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the same time. If you think you may qualify for this program, be sure to speak with a counselor for more detailed information.
