Scholarships & Assistantships

The application deadline for Graduate Assistantships and Scholarships is June 1st. Only admitted students are reviewed for financial assistance. Late applicants for scholarship assistance are reviewed as funding permits. All Graduate Assistantships and Scholarships are awarded for the Fall term and are one year awards. Students are welcome to apply more than once for awards, but there is no guarantee of being awarded funds multiple times.

Some students may also wish to apply for Wheelock College scholarships. These awards are given on the basis of academic and professional achievement. Admitted students, including international students, are eligible to apply for Wheelock College scholarships.

Community Scholarship Awards up to $5,000 are available to first-year graduate students who have submitted a community scholarship application. This is a one-time award; awards are made in the summer for the upcoming academic year. Community Service Application [pdf]

Graduate Assistantships

Students may only be considered for a graduate assistantship for the School in which their degree program resides. The School of Education and Child Life as well as the School of Social Work and Family Studies will consider first year students for this designation with the exception of Master of Social Work students. The Master of Social Work students may only be considered as they begin their second year. This refers to Master of Social Work students in their concentration year who are not in advanced standing status. Graduate Assistant Application [pdf]
