Graduate Financial Aid Application Procedures
The Office of Financial Aid must receive the following documents before an applicant is reviewed for financial assistance:
1. FAFSA
Processed data from the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal FAFSA. For a quicker processing time submit your FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA to the federal processor on-line by using FAFSA on The Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov anytime on or after January 1, 2008. Complete the FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA (paper or electronic) using income and asset information from the 2007 calendar year. If you have not completed your 2007 federal taxes, provide the information using your best estimate. Be sure to list Wheelock College, Federal School Code 002228 on the FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA to insure that Wheelock receives the processed results.
- Wheelock College highly recommends that students complete the FAFSA
by the following preferred dates:
- If you are attending Spring 2008 Semester for Entering Students: December 1, 2007
- If you are attending Summer 2008 or Fall 2008 Semesters for Entering and Continuing Students: April 15, 2008
- Students who are unable to meet the dates listed above may still complete the necessary forms for federal financial aid. If you have questions please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 617-879-2206 or email at finaid@wheelock.edu.
2. 2008-2009 Wheelock College Application for Financial Aid
Complete the 2008-2009 Wheelock College Application for Financial Aid [pdf]. You may download a copy of this form, or contact our office for a copy to be mailed to you.
- This form should be sent to the Office of Financial Aid by the
following preferred filing dates:
- Spring 2008 Semester: December 1, 2007
- Summer 2008 or Fall 2008 Semesters Entering and Continuing Students: April 15, 2008
- Students who are unable to meet the dates listed above may still complete the necessary forms for federal financial aid. If you have questions please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 617-879-2206 or email at finaid@wheelock.edu.
3. Federal Government Selection Verification
If you are selected for verification by the federal government, you must also provide the Office of Financial Aid with:
- Signed copies of your (and spouse's if married) 2007 Federal Income Tax Return (Form 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ/Telefile) as soon as they are available. Be sure the copies are signed, legible and that all tax schedules are attached.

4. Any other requested documents needed to verify eligibility for
financial aid.
