Juvenile Justice and Youth Advocacy Major
Students in the Juvenile Justice and Youth Advocacy concentration gain an understanding of the field of juvenile justice from a broad-based perspective, and prepare for work in the juvenile justice prevention or intervention fields.
Exciting Curriculum
You will gain a thorough understanding of the juvenile justice system, the conditions and circumstances that place youth at risk for involvement in the system, and effective methods for prevention, advocacy, and intervention with youth. You participate in a variety of field experiences as well as a semester-long, 200-hour internship placement.

Program Options
- Students may complete the 38-credit concentration in Juvenile Justice and Youth Advocacy, or the 16-credit minor in Juvenile Justice and Youth Advocacy.
- Those concentrating in Juvenile Justice and Youth Advocacy also major in one of the Arts and Sciences or in Social Work.

Juvenile Justice and Youth Advocacy program faculty have extensive experience as practitioners in the field of juvenile justice.
