Students examine social theory and role of ideology to examine their orientation to race, ethnicity, culture and identity in education. Considers political, social, cultural, historical, economic, and power dynamics as contexts for exploring curriculum, educational pedagogy, and structures that influence educational opportunity and school achievement.
