Overview:
Prepares Early Childhood and Elementary Educators, Child Life Specialists, and Social Workers to understand and meet the needs and challenges of LGBT- headed families and their children. Examines research and case studies on LGBT families and best practices for creating safe, welcoming environments. Introduces LGBT history; legal, medical and social systems; homophobia; heterosexual privilege; action for change.
