Whether you are motivated by an interest in lifelong learning or a desire to maintain and improve professional competence, enhance career progression, keep abreast of new technology and practices, or to comply with professional licensing requirements, Wheelock has a professional development program that will suit your needs.

Professional Development Institutes, Conferences, and Workshops

Designed for today's busy professionals, Wheelock's Conferences, Workshops, and Professional Development Institutes are intensive, cost-effective programs that can help you boost your skills, advance your career, and earn undergraduate or graduate credit and/or valuable Professional Development Points (PDPs) or Continuing Education Units (CEUs). These programs are designed for nonprofit leaders, school principals, teachers, early childhood and other education professionals, social workers, child life specialists, and others dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.

Online STEM Education Courses

Wheelock is proud to present the STEM Teacher Enhancement Project: a dynamic set of eight online professional development courses focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education for teachers of elementary-age students. With all eight of Wheelock's STEM education courses offered exclusively online, working teachers can improve their math and science content knowledge and teaching skills from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Undergraduate Courses

Specially focused courses offered on campus in the summer provide undergraduate educational opportunities that meet the hectic schedules of non-traditional students and traditional undergraduates who are looking to fulfill requirements or just try something new. These courses are offered on a compressed 6-week schedule and at reduced tuition rates.

Graduate Courses

Choose from our wide variety of course topics and expertise areas that suit your professional aims. Visiting/non-matriculated students can take up to two Graduate Courses that can then be counted for credit toward your degree if you decide to apply as a full-time student.
