• Students are required to complete 6 credits of graduate electives, (Summer 2 and Summer 3 on the program plan).
• Graduate electives can be taken after completing one (1) semester (5 or more credits) of MSW course work.
• Wheelock@Worcester students may register for graduate electives only on the Boston Campus.
• Students with permission from their advisor can take a graduate elective at another institution and have it transferred to Wheelock.
• Students should be aware that taking fewer than 5 credits in any one semester will make them ineligible for federal financial aid that semester. For example, if a student takes an elective at some time other than when noted on the program plan, if there are less than 5 credits, students will not be eligible for financial aid.

 
* Most of the courses are offered in the evening time block at 4-6:30PM or 6:45-9:15PM.
1 The Writing course and the individual assistance will be offered each semester.
2 Foundation Year Field Practicum extends for 16 hours/week both Fall and Spring Semesters, 240 hours/semester for a total of 480 hours for an academic year (unless completing flex field). Most field placements take place during normal working hours (8-5, Monday-Friday).
3 Concentration Year Field Practicum extends for 16 hours/week during the Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters for a total of 720 hours. Most field placements take place during normal working hours (8-5, Monday-Friday).

1 Advanced Standing students complete 100 hours of field placement in Summer Session II (July-August) before the Concentration Year begins. Most field placements take place during normal working hours (8-5, Monday-Friday).
2 Concentration Year Field Practicum extends for 16 hours/week during the Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters for a total of 720 hours. Most field placements take place during normal working hours (8-5, Monday-Friday). Total hours completed in the field is 820.
