Wheelock College began offering its acclaimed Master of Social Work Degree in Worcester in September 2012. (This faculty list is tentative and subject to change.)

Margaret (Peg) Whalen, Ph.D., will teach Human Behavior in the Social Environment I in the fall. Dr. Whalen earned her doctorate at Michigan State University. Her dissertation was entitled "Measuring MSW Attitudes toward Poverty and the Poor: a Tool for Evaluating Social Work Outcomes." Dr. Whalen has taught at Michigan State University and has extensive experience in clinical research.

Jim Bourque, MSW, will teach Social Welfare Policy in the fall. He is a graduate of Boston University, and a former United Way Executive Director from NJ. He is a part time Instructor in Social Work at Wheelock College and the Coordinator of the Worcester MSW off campus program.

Andrea LaJoie-Ward, MSW, will teach Human Behavior in the Social Environment II in the spring semester. She is a MSW graduate of Wheelock College, and is currently working is a clinical social worker in Holyoke and a consultant to a number of day care centers across Hampden County.

Jude Gonsalves, PhD, will teach the Foundation of Social Research course in the spring. He is a graduate of the University of Madras in Chennai, India. His dissertation topic was "Organizational Behavior in a Public Limited Company", and he is currently the Director of the Social Work Program at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA.
