Wheelock helped me develop a perspective on child development
and learning and establish my values....
For over 50 years, Wheelock College has been a leader in providing high-quality graduate education for people entering and advancing in fields of Education, Child Life, Child & Family Studies, and Social Work. Our programs have enabled thousands of people to attain their professional dreams as practitioners, advocates, and leaders in fields that enhance the lives of children and families.
At Wheelock, you can enroll in master's degree programs with a range of specializations; post-master's programs; and professional development courses and institutes in six program areas.
All of our graduate programs:
- Combine the knowledge, skills and real-world experience for you to be a successful, highly-valued professional in your chosen field.
- Encourage interdisciplinary cooperation across human-services professions, so you have a broad base of knowledge to apply in any professional context.
- Meet and exceed state and national academic standards, which is why our graduates are highly sought after by employers around the country and the globe.
Given the growing need for all our graduate students to be well versed in the developmental facets of children and factors that enable families to function most effectively, we are converting our Birth-to-Three, Child and Family Studies, and Leadership master’s programs into areas of specializations available to all students.
Specializations include: Infant and Toddler Specialist; • Parenting Education & Family Support • Death, Dying & Bereavement • Child Development • Leadership, Policy & Administration.
While we will no longer enroll students into master’s programs in these three areas, all Wheelock graduate students can now choose from an even broader array of specializations.
To explore which graduate programs and specializations may be right for you, please contact graduate@wheelock.edu or call (617) 879.2206.
