Since July of 2011, Diane Zipoli has been a member of the Social Work Department. In addition to her role as Assistant Director of Social Work Field Education, she has served as an Instructor of Social Work in the BSW and MSW programs.
A licensed clinical social worker, she has twenty-plus years of practice experience in the social work field. Prior to joining Wheelock College, she held a variety of direct practice and leadership positions at Big Sister Association of Greater Boston. While a staff social worker at Family & Children's Service of Greater Lynn, and Family Services of Greater Waterbury, she provided clinical services to individuals, groups, and families. She has acted as a consultant to local nonprofits focusing on services related to group work, clinical supervision, and performance management. She has also presented workshops on mentoring, social group work, and gender responsive programming both locally and nationally.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in the Social Sciences from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT, and earned her Master's in Social Work degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook.
