B.S., Northwestern University

Jane Staab is the co-founder and co-artistic director of the Wheelock Family Theatre (since 1982), and teaches theatre courses at Wheelock College. She received her BS degree and training at Northwestern University and has worked as a professional actor at the New Jersey and California Shakespeare Festivals; Hartford Stage Company; and the Roundabout, Chelsea Theatre Center, and Playwrights Horizons in New York City. She worked extensively at the Harwich Junior Theatre and co-founded the Harwich Winter Theatre (1970-1975).

As a composer, Staab has published musicals O Happy Day with Bakers Plays and The Secret Garden and A Little Princess with Gilpin Publishing. She is Wheelock Family Theatre's casting director and general manager, and performs and directs each season.

Selected Publications

Staab has recorded extensively with Houghton Mifflin as narrator and characters for the Carry-On Cassette series.
