Keavy Hennessey Smith became the Director of Social Work Field Education in March 2010. She is also an instructor of Field Education in the MSW Program. She is responsible for the placement of students in the BSW and MSW program. She is also very involved in the community to maintain and establish new internship sites for the college.

She graduated from Wheelock College with an MSW in 2003. She was the second class to graduate from the Wheelock MSW program.

After graduating, she worked for the Department of Children and Families as a case manager for three years. In October of 2006 she was hired at Y.O.U. Inc. as the Assistant Director of Foster Care. She became the Director of Y.O.U. Inc. Foster Care in May of 2008. Prior to coming to Wheelock full time, she worked as a Field Liaison for the MSW program for five years.
