Karen Murphy is associate professor of Early Childhood Education who teaches courses in early childhood education, curriculum design, and play. She has been an early childhood classroom teacher, supervisor, and teacher educator for many years.

Her scholarly interests include early childhood learning environments, the development of children's conceptions of school, and technology integration into early childhood curriculum.

Her recent publications appear in Young Children, the Journal of Technology and Teacher Education, and in an edited volume, Integrated Technologies, Innovative Learning: Insights from the PT3 Program.
