Jennifer Klinefelter is a full-time instructor in the Language and Literacy department, specializing in teaching struggling readers pre-K to adults. She has taught kindergarten and high school, but has most recently worked as an Early Childhood Resource/Reading Specialist K-2 in the Cambridge Public Schools.
During her work as a learning disabilities specialist at Landmark High School, she focused on students with expressive language and phonemic processing difficulty and was trained in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Lindamood-Bell intervention programs.
At Wheelock, she teaches courses in reading pedagogy, Foundations of Reading MTEL preparedness, effective instruction for at-risk readers, and oversees the reading specialist practicum experience.
