Patricia Hnatiuk has been in the early childhood field since 1971. She has taught, designed courses and programs, and written about topics such as leadership and culture, equity in the child care workforce, and mentoring.
She is a co-author of the national publications, "The Early Childhood Mentoring Curriculum: Handbook for Mentors and Trainer's Guide (Center for the Child Care Workforce, 1997)."
As a senior associate at the Wheelock College Institute for Leadership and Career Initiatives, she led technical assistance activities in 30 states for the US Department of Labor's Child Care Apprenticeship Program and was director of Child Care Training Programs at Wheelock for 10 years with the Centers for Child Care Policy and Training.
She was a developer and lead writer of the multi-media "Steps to Success: An Instructional Design for Mentor-Coaches in Head Start and Early Head Start" with Early Childhood Associates, Inc. Patty is currently an instructor in Education in the Early Education and Care Program.
