Suzanne Graca is an instructor in Child Life and a certified child life specialist. She has taught the undergraduate course, The Role of the Child Life Specialist, for many years, as well as co-teaching other undergraduate courses and supervising students during their internship.
Graca is an active member of the Child Life Council, previously working on the education and certification committees, and was elected to the executive board as a member-at-large for member care at the Annual Conference in June 2005.
She has served as a child life specialist at the Children's Hospital of Boston since 1989, where she's currently a child life specialist II. At Boston Children's, she has had extensive contact with Wheelock students as the student internship coordinator.
Her areas of interests are: pain assessment and management, chronic illness, interdisciplinary collaboration, supervision, and multicultural issues.
