Meet the Teacher Licensure Staff

See the Fall 2016 MTEL prep course offerings!

Please note: All sessions require registration prior to the start of the course. All classes are held Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., except for Reading Theory & Practice (ACD 310/510), which runs two Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Current Wheelock Students:
MTEL prep sessions are offered to current Wheelock students free of charge. Students should register for courses prior to the start date in the MyWheelock portal. (In MyWheelock's Course Search, choose MTEL-Academic Support from the dropdown menu to see the list of upcoming MTEL Prep courses.) There is a $15 cancellation fee for students who register but do not attend.

Wheelock Alumni:
Recent Wheelock alumni (those who graduated within the last 12 months) who continue to take the MTEL tests for licensure purposes are eligible to participate in MTEL prep sessions at no charge. Register and pay online at wheelock.edu/cashnet. If you prefer, you may complete and submit the Non-matriculated Student MTEL Registration Form (pdf). Please note that payment must be submitted at time of registration.

General Public:
Wheelock currently offers the following MTEL prep sessions to the general public for a small fee:

  • Early Childhood
  • Communication and Literacy Skills: Reading Subtest
  • Communication and Literacy Skills: Writing Subtest
  • General Curriculum: Multisubject Subtest
  • General Curriculum: Mathematics Subtest

Interested candidates should register and pay online at wheelock.edu/cashnet. If you prefer, you may complete and submit the Non-matriculated Student MTEL Registration Form (pdf). Please note that payment must be submitted at time of registration.
