Why Support the Multilingual Action Council?

The Multilingual Action Council (MAC) strives to build alliances in and across communities to ensure a better world for all children. MAC needs your support to continue to develop multi-cultural parent leadership in this unique program. No one else in greater Boston is focused on developing immigrant parent leadership in early childhood education, and in creating multi-lingual educational practices that allow immigrant and all children to flourish in the classroom, and build cross-cultural community.

A dollar invested in early childhood education earns a return of nearly $11 later. Your membership fee or donation to MAC will do this and more!

Your support will enable us to:

• Develop and sustain a parent membership base, led by a committee of 8-10 parent leaders, which guides training, leadership development, and advocacy work.
• Support 15-20 MAC parents to take leadership in their Head Starts and public schools to improve multi-lingual representation and leadership and promote inclusive agendas.
• Facilitate community-based parent leadership development workshops in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and Chinese that reach 160-200 immigrant parents.
• Offer provider trainings and conferences that train and support 300+ in the field

Help MAC draw parents and providers into leadership with other advocacy groups in political efforts to increase resources for early childhood education for immigrant families.
