Vice President for Campus Life and Information Services
Roy Schifilliti brings more than 20 years of experience in running college business operations with the goal of improving the student experience. At Wheelock, his priorities are to continually enhance the College's physical campus and the services that support students, faculty, and staff. To that end, he oversaw the recent construction of Wheelock's new, state-of-the-art, green Campus Center and Student Residence and the renovation of Riverway House. He also leads the development of the College's technology support system, enabling departments across the college to provide more services via the web. In addition to facilities and technology, Roy oversees student life, campus services, food service, academic records and registration, and library.
He was previously Director of Business Affairs in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Administration at Simmons College, where he oversaw the nine departments comprising the main business operations of the college. While at Simmons, he implemented new diversity initiatives to support institutional commitment to diversity, restructured the campus security to create a new campus police program, and served as a member of the campus master planning team. Prior to that, he was Assistant Director of System Support/Assignments in the Office of Housing at Boston University.
Roy has held leadership roles in a number of professional organizations including: Medical Academic and Scientific Community Organization (current Emergency Operations Committee Chair); Fenway Alliance (current Board Executive Committee member); and Colleges of the Fenway Emergency Preparedness Committee (former Chair).
He holds a master's degree in Communication Management from Simmons College and a B.A. in psychology from Boston University.
